I apologize constantly. Even when someone steps on my foot on the subway.

CYNIC

Oh, so you're the human doormat? Apologizing when someone else crushes your toes? That's not politeness, that's a reflex to avoid conflict. You afraid they'll get mad if you don't? Newsflash: they stepped on you, not the other way around. Grow a spine, not a sorry.

STOIC

Apologizing for others' actions is not humility; it is misplaced guilt. You cannot control their feet, only your own response. Let go of the need to soothe every accidental collision. Your peace is not found in their approval.

ABSURD

You say sorry to the subway pole, the air, the pigeon that looked at you wrong. Your 'sorry' is now a universal solvent, dissolving all blame into a fog of politeness. One day you'll apologize to your own shadow for blocking the light, and it will whisper back: 'No, I'm sorry.'

Reframing: seeing the situation from three sides

Every problem can be viewed from different angles. The Cynic reduces importance through sarcasm, the Stoic helps find control, the Absurd reveals unexpected meanings.
