I look at the airplanes and realize I’m not jealous of the destination, I’m just jealous of the movement.

CYNIC

Ah, so you're not jealous of people going somewhere nice, just jealous they're going anywhere at all. Congratulations, you've discovered that standing still while others move is mildly depressing. Next you'll tell me water is wet.

STOIC

The envy is not of places but of motion itself. Yet stillness has its own purpose: the rooted tree sees more seasons than the passing bird. Ask not why others move, but where your own feet wish to go.

ABSURD

You watch a metal tube full of strangers hurtle through the sky and think: I wish I were that tube. Not the people, the tube. The movement. Somewhere a suitcase is jealous of a conveyor belt, and somewhere a cloud files a complaint about all this traffic.

Reframing: seeing the situation from three sides

Every problem can be viewed from different angles. The Cynic reduces importance through sarcasm, the Stoic helps find control, the Absurd reveals unexpected meanings.
