I used to want to change the world. Now I want the world to leave me alone.

CYNIC

Oh, the classic dream-to-drainpipe pipeline. You wanted to change the world until the world sent you an invoice and you discovered the refund policy is a locked door. Congratulations, you've upgraded from messiah complex to survival mode.

STOIC

The desire to change the world and the desire to be left in peace are both attachments. Perhaps the task is not to choose between them, but to see what remains when you stop demanding anything of the world at all.

ABSURD

Once I marched with a megaphone to fix the planet; now I negotiate with my doorbell like a hostage. The world still knocks, I hide behind the curtain, and we both pretend this is diplomacy.

Reframing: seeing the situation from three sides

Every problem can be viewed from different angles. The Cynic reduces importance through sarcasm, the Stoic helps find control, the Absurd reveals unexpected meanings.
